Who can play?

  1. Men and Women ages 18+

Game clock

  1. Each game will last 20 minutes with a running clock.

  2. Each team will have one, 30-second time-out that stops the clock.

OFFENSive

possessions

  1. The offense will start on the 40- yard line and has the option to begin their drive on either hash mark.

  2. The QB will take snap from a teammate (who is not eligible for a pass)

  3. The QB has 5 seconds to throw the ball. The ref will give a 5-chop count with his arm (similar to a 5-second violation in basketball). The whistle will be blown after the 5 seconds is up and the play will result in a loss of down.

    • The Qb is allowed to run the ball if he is rushed.

  4. Running the ball is only permitted on 1st and 2nd downs, and running the ball is NOT allowed on 3rd downs.

  5. After a touchdown is scored, the offense may go for a 1-point conversion from the 5-yard line Or 2 points from the 10-yard line. The offense may choose which hash to attempt the extra point from.

  6. The QB is not allowed to run the ball unless there is a blitz and he is being rushed.

  7. If the QB drops the snap this will result in a loss of downs and the play is over.

  8. If the receiver/ runner fumbles the ball, the play becomes dead and the ball will be spotted where the runner lost the ball.

  9. Lateraling of the ball of any sort is not permitted.

  10. Traditional blocking is not permitted.

  11. The receiver’s alignment should respect the tackle box and formations must be legal.

  12. 25-second play clock.

  13. Offensive players are responsible for retrieving the ball and returning it to the line of scrimmage after the play is over.

DEFENSe

  1. Defense is allowed 1 blitz per game and 1 blitz in overtime.

  2. If a team blitzes, the QB is allowed to run and the 5-second threshold does not apply.

  3. Defense can blitz as many players as they want on their one blitz.

  4. If there is a defensive penalty on the blitzing play, the defense will lose their blitz.

  5. If there is an offensive penalty on the blitzing play, the defense is allowed to blitz on another play.

defensive SCORING

  1. Touchdowns = 6 points

  2. The scoring team may attempt 2 points for a defensive stop

  3. Interceptions = 3 points. There are NO pic sixes.

  4. An interception on an extra point (1) results in one point added to the defense - an interception on an extra point (2) results in two points added to the defense

OFFENSIVE

PENALTIES

  1. False start delays of game (25 second play clock) + personal fouls = loss of downs

  2. Offensive pass interference = 5-yard penalty (pass interference at the 40 on 1st down will result in loss of down)

DEFENSIVE

PENALTIES

  1. Offsides penalty results in a 5-yard gain by for the offense.

  2. Defensive pass interference will result in a 15 yard penalty or if inside of the 10 yard line, half of the distance to the goal.

  3. A defensive holding = 10-yard penalty.

  4. If a pass interference call occurs in the end zone, it will be first down at the 1- yard line.

  5. Defensive pass interference on extra point results in half distance to the goal for the same amount of points.

  6. Unsportsmanlike conduct/ unnecessary roughness/ tackling = unsportsmanlike penalty and will result in automatic first down+ 15-yard penalty and the player is subject to ejection.

TIE BREAK/

OVERTIME RULES

  1. Games that end with a tied score will result in overtime.

  2. A coin toss will decide who has possession first.

  3. The winner of the coin toss will select if they want to be on offense or defense first.

  4. The ball will be placed at the 10-yard line and NCAA overtime rules will apply.

  5. Each team has 3 attempts to score.

  6. Defensive scoring does not count ONLY offensive scoring.

  7. After the first overtime, both teams must go for two points from the 10-yard line after a touchdown is scored.
